Tech in the Classroom

My new office is turning into something nice. I am trying to get some more contemporary office furniture into my classroom. So I no longer have the ugly metal desks.

I have the most high tech classroom. And for good reason also. I like tech. And I use it on a regular basis. What I am really hoping for is a smart board. If I could one of those . . . my classroom would be complete.

Have a happy day.

Palm Died

Well my long time Palm Tungsten C has just about gone to the DELETED . While the palm itself works ok, the keyboard has died. The keyboard was the best part of the T|C from palm, has all but died. I only have three application buttons left.

Since I do not know graffati. I am in trouble. I have always entered via keyboard.

So now I am in the quest of the best PDA out there.

the choices seem to be the Crackberry (aka the Blackberry) or the Treo 680.

I will keep you informed.

Box Stuffing

I have noticed that many items are starting to fill my inbox again. This is quite frustrating. I am achieving a projected 10 new suggestions per night. During the day it seems to slow down . . . wonder what this means . . . let me guess . . . lots of messages from overseas.

I wonder if the orginal developers of the internet, like Al Gore (LOL), thought of the abuse.

Now lets be real if I want something such as diet pills I will do a search and find many said pills. I do not need it in my box. So I make sure that when I do ecommerace business, I do business with a company that deserves my business.

Please do the same.

Virus is 25

It should be noted that this month marks the 25th Anniversary of the computer virus. Like vintage fabrics that always seems to be around so do virus on the computer.

The first one was pretty minor and not really that major by today's standards. Next year also marks the 20th anniversary of, as far as I know, the first commercial antivirus product. I remember having a beta copy. In those days, beta actually meant something.

Have a happy day

Tech that dies

One of the odd things about technology is that there seems to be no globe life insurance for a dead computer.

What happens when the computer dies. We have to get a new one quickly. What about blackberrys and palms and such.

I amazed that cell phones can have insurance that protect from odd accidents.

Have a happy day.
