Techno House

I would love to have a techno house. With all my Powell furniture set and appliances wanting to be controlled.

Instead I have moved into a house that has a phone line.

Well DSL is online. Wireless networks. However, the appliances stil need a lot of help to be more electronically engaged.

Selling and Buying

I have been watching the news closely altogether home foreclosure situation continuing. I have to confess I am glad I am living where I am at; the town seems to be immune from the problems that is happening nationwide, though there is a foreclosure across the street from our house.

Since I am selling and the fees are all there; I would like something similar to Miami flat fee mls for a flat fee rather then variable prices.

I know this is not the time to be buying and selling, however, if not now then when shall I purchase and sell.

Open Programs

One of the great things about having some extra Dell Memory in the ole computer is the ability to run many programs at one time.

I normally have about 15 programs opnened on my Macintosh at any one time. I seldom see a slow down. It runs like crazy and I love my 2GB of Ram.

If it were up to me I would have 4GB of ram. the more the merrier.

One has to admire spammers in a way. Once everything stops working they move and adjust the methods. Recently i was getting fake electronic cards from all kinds of places. Always check the email address.

Now I am getting reply invitations to places I never signed up for. Always be careful of the mail you open and the links you click on. It is really a dangerous world out there

One of the odd parts of dealing with technology is how pervasive tech is thoughout our lives. As an example: watch modern marvels discuss the simple drive thru.

Or perhaps the amount of work that goes into some Air Jordan shoes.

The grocery store is another example of major technology. I would encourage you to pay attention to many of the differing types of technology out there and not be such a luddite.

Doc and the Device

You have to wonder with all the tech out there for doctors, should DELETED be scared about the future.

I went to the doc the other day with my son and for a small rural area, they have lots of really cool and high tech stuff.

I was amamzed at one item that was used to remove part of the ingrown toenail. This device was really cool.

Microsoft Windows Vista Causes Globel Warming

Well you better sit down and hold on to your home theater seating for this wild ride.

Recently a computer expert in security and digital content said:

"Windows Vista causes global warming, because it's burning so much power."

There you have it. Microsoft is responsible for Global Warming. Time to return all the Windows based horrid computers and efficient Macintosh computers.

It was a good idea.

The question of Net Neutrality has players lining up and taking sides. Simply saying, if you want to buy some world series tickets the people who you buy from would need to be a preferred provider with your ISP. If they are not, you may never see or have greatly diminished speeds.

The bottom line: Net Neutrality is good for consumers and 'bad' for business.

The reality is it will be good for ISPs. I know ISPs are trying to get as much money as they can. When all is said and done, greed will kill the internet.

Mac and Linux

With the changes that have happened on the Microsoft front, with Vista being released, Macintosh and Linux users have been fighting it out with Microsoft.

Many users have to use a drug rehab program to get off of Microsoft.

The really sad part is: most seem to still assume that Macintosh is for graphic artists and other losers. And Linux is for Geeks. The truth is both of these are good alternatives to MS.
