A New HD

I love buying new hardware. Needless to say I give my Budgeting software fits and red ink. I just purchased a 1TB Raid drive. This drive contains 2 - 500GB hard drives. I am able to stripe the raid and have a really fast 1TB hard drive or two smaller 500GB drives or 500GB drive that is redundant.

I personally favor the 1TB striped for the speed. I had one at one time that one of the drives died and I lost all the data. This was bad. However, no worse then losing a single hard drive, just more frustrating because I have half the data.

You may want to go to the big blue and yellow big box store as they are getting rid of these drives at a good price.

How long could it last?

Microsoft and the release of Vista lasted under two weeks before the most secure operating system came under attack.

Apple has picked up on the idea of this sad realization and has some humor at the expense of MacroSuck
