Analong

Despite all the great tech out there I have found that I am still quite picky about my gel pens. I think it is because I use them so little. SO when I use it I want some quality pens.

What about the other still items I use. Paper. I want the brightest white there is at 24lbs. Yet I am willing to pay for the extra . . . kinda weird.

Well have a happy techy day.

Vaction and Tech

One of the problems if you go on vacation to somewhere like a Orlando rental home you can't take all your tech with you. More specific my big old external hard drive that has all my itunes stuff on it. I do like to update my music and play lists every so often, at lest once a week. IF I do not take it I cannot get new podcasts and other such rot. Maybe it will be good to get away from the computer

iBooks and Hard Drives

One thing I like about the Macintosh laptops is an easy computer memory upgrade. The hard drive on the other hand is like pulling teeth. To replace the iBook hard drive you have to take off:

1. The bottom of the computer.
2. The the sheet of a non-connductive metal.
3. More screws for the top of the case.
4. Four more screws for the hard drive.
5. Four more screws for the hard drive rails.

Not something that is easy. Do not try this at home unless you have some experience replacing iBook hard drives.

Living Without Google

Google's ideal is to: Do No Evil. I wonder as a the search engine grows by leaps and bounds how can it not do evil?

There is an article in FORBES magazine about GOOGLE having the ability to send web sites to a purgatory. Once it is hard to get out. A site may accidentally get in there. Once in there sales will dry up like crazy.

So many people have their lives depend on GOOGLE that if they get in to Google Purgatory people can lose the business.

If Google wants to really do no evil they need to let a business have an appeal to be let out. People are losing hundreds of thousands of dollars. There is no warning. All of a sudden business drys up. Think of this you have a pile of Studio RTA Furniture to sell and no customers one day just like magic.

I understand Google needs to be sure that the bad guys are sent there. There just needs to be an appeal process. As someone who has offended the Google gods, I know that getting back into good graces is hard.
